Harry’s Story
Harry Keswani saw hungry children in need in Delaware, and based on the beliefs and principles instilled in him by his parents, he sought to fill the need by establishing the Harry K Foundation.
Harry has long been sensitive and in service to his community. His parents are from India, and through them, he learned of the devastating effects of poverty and starvation, especially in children. Although Harry was born in England, he felt compelled to address childhood hunger in his ancestral country. Harry and his beloved friend in India, a homeopathic doctor, collaborated for years to bring necessary care to those in need. When Harry’s friend passed, he was left with a personal void that was coupled with an undying drive to help those less fortunate.
Now in Delaware, Harry was shocked and unnerved to hear of the similar and rising problem of hunger and poverty in his community. He was even more disturbed to learn about the large number of schoolchildren who consumed their only meals of the day while in school, and that they would often go hungry in the evenings, on weekends, and during holidays.
